       William gets his first fly rod fish

       and some more!
       My nephew Ira's son William came to spend a few days at the
       homestead earlier this month.  Ira is an excellent flycaster,
       fly angler, and member of our Kisatchie club.  He's been
       teaching William some about fly fishing but taking it slow.  By
       now, the boy was ready.  cool
       Fishing has been tough with the hot weather (106 heat index) so
       we started out late in the afternoon.  Found one spot where the
       bream were cooperative.  Ira put a size 12 black/yellow popping
       bug down and an 8-inch chinquapin slammed it.  Next cast another
       nice redear.  After that, it was all bluegill...  he caught 13
       to be exact.  Then the action stopped.
       He's now ready for his next fly fishing trip.   ;)
