       Quick Trip to Lafreniere Park
       By: Sean-NOLA Date: November 4, 2017, 2:17 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I had the itch to fish this morning, so I went to Lafreniere
Park before the rest of the family woke up. The wind was calm,
so I rigged up my Cabela's CGR 2wt. This rod is an excellent
       panfish rod by the way!
As the morning went on, I caught some small bream on nymphs.
After the bream bite died down, I switched to my go-to
freshwater fly, a conehead krystal bugger. After a couple of
casts I hooked into a nice sized bass! He put a good bend in
the rod, and I was able to land him and take a quick picture.
All in all, not a bad way to start the weekend!
       Location: Lafreniere Park
       Wind: Calm
       Time: 7am - 9am
       Fly Rod: Cabela's CGR 6'2" 2wt.
Fly Reel: Orvis Battenkill BBS 1
       Fly: Black Crystal Bugger
Fish Caught: 6 dink bream, 1 nice bass!

No rios? Wonder if they're still active.

I haven't heard reports of anyone catching rios lately, Catch,
but I wouldn't be surprised if they're still out and about.
It's been pretty warm this fall.
