Ride The Bull 8 - Extreme Kayak Fishing Tournament
Friday-Saturday, August 25-26, 2017
Bridgeside Marina, Grand Isle, LA

$75 prior to August 11
$85 after August 11

onsite registration August 25-26 at Bridgeside
The world's largest kayak fishing tournament, Ride the Bull,
will be held out of Bridgeside Marina on Saturday, August 26,
with festivities the evening before on Friday, August 25.
For those unfamiliar with this event, it's a shotgun launch out
of the Marina, with restricted fishing area to Caminada Pass.
The quarry is bull redfish. When a bull red is caught, one of
several "weigh-in boats" are summoned. The fish is transferred
to the boat, taken to the marina for weigh-in and tagging, and
safely released.
The event was conceived and managed by Danny and Kristen Wray.
Last year, after Kristen lost her courageous bout with cancer,
CCA Louisiana stepped up and agreed to take over the event.
Little has changed with the format of the event, and it remains
as much a social gathering as a fishing tournament.

Friday
3-7 PM Registration Opens
5-8 PM Shrimp Dinner served by Carmadelles
7 PM Captains Meeting
7:30-10 PM Live Music by About Last Night
Saturday
6 AM Registration Opens
7 AM Safety briefing at Bridgeside and Wakeside Marinas
7:30 AM Fishing should begin (shotgun start)
2 PM Scales close (subject to change based on weather)
