As a lightskin women, i totally get it. Some lightskin women are
truly think that being told how pretty they are or questioning
their blackness is some how the same as being called ugly,
roach, unattractive, darkies.

Those bitches are triggered because they’re the ones who say
colorist shit. Then they pull that reverse colorism shit that
doesn’t even exist or make since. Like how can you go through
colorism and benefit from it at the same time.

To be honest, that’s part of the reason LSBW’s blackness is
questioned now. Biracial women call themselves light skin black
women and since biracial women have become the face of black
womanhood people don’t know the difference. Also you have actual
light skin black women trying to look more exotic because they
know that’s the route a lot of men are going in with dating.

I’ve seen lightskin and brownskin(girls who think they’re
lightskin) reducing colorism too a popularity contest or saying
it’s not real and we’re just insecure. So I really don’t think
the conversation will ever be had and everyone get a clear
understanding.
