[IMPORTANT] - Administrative Code Of Conduct!

---------------------------------------------------------
Administrative code of conduct!
First of all, On behalf of the [KS] community we would like to
congratulate you on receiving the rank of Administrator.
At this point we would like to point out that receiving the
level of Administrator within our servers is something to be
proud of, to put it in context, thousands of players pass
through our servers doors every months, and out of every single
one of these, you have been chosen to represent our community.
Now, You may ask: "Why do I have to read this topic?" - Well,
Reading this and all linked topics will set you up to become
successful Administrator. Over the years we have had many
administrators on our servers, we have had administrators who
are brilliant, reliable and fun.. Yet we had our fair share of
administrators that are Rude, Rule breakers and unpleasant..
What this topic is for is to eradicate the latter. In this topic
we will discuss /warn, /kick, /ban and various other procedures
that need to be complied with. We will also talk about the
Administrative Rules and why they are so important to follow,
and any repercussions that could incur if the rules are not
followed.
RULES:
First of all, the rules... - At the bottom of this section I
will leave a link which will re-direct you to the rules, You are
to read each and every rule. These rules have not been set to
make anyone's life harder, they have been set to protect the
administrators (YOU) from trouble, therefore any breaking of
these rules can result in disciplinary actions, such as instant
demotion, or banning in more extreme cases. (Every level
administrator, from 3-6, has to follow these rules).

Procedures:
Secondly, Procedures... - This section may be long, but it is
vital for your success as an Administrator, So please no
skipping this section!
/Ban procedures
Lately we have been getting dozens of reports of wrongful bans,
this is unacceptable. Therefore I cannot stress enough, before
you ban a player you NEED TO BE 100% SURE they have committed an
offence suitable for a ban, such as using hacks.
Money hacks - /richlist (Check for any suspicious amounts) -
/getinfo <ID> (check the money, time spent on server) - /setcash
<ID> 50000 - /richlist (every 10-20 seconds for the first 2
minutes) - If the cash goes back up, then you may have caught
yourself a money hackers. TIP: Money hackers will generally use
other hacks, so its wise to check for other hacks aswell.
Health hacks - /lspec <ID> - /Burn <ID> (several times
consecutively) - If there life fails to fall, or regains when
its close empty, you have yourself a health hackers. IMPORTANT:
The medic class - (Deep Pink), has a cmd to heal themselves,
completely within the game rules. - Additional Information:
Health hackers will often be reported through /report or chat so
keep an eye out.
Airbreak - /lspec <ID> - Airbreak is pretty simple to see, If
they are moving in a straight vertical (upwards) line, or flying
across the map in an unnatural manner.
Speedhack - /lspec <ID> - Simple, Spectate them and watch there
speed, some hackers are clever and only rarely use it, so you
may have to spectate them for a while.
Minigun - /miniguns - /lspec <ID> - /disarm <ID> - /Weaps <ID>
(several times) - (ONLY BAN IF THEY RESPAWN A MINIGUN) Miniguns
are shown in a White warning message in the chat box. Beware
when typing /miniguns because it shows the /dm zones.
Heatseek - /heatseek - /lspec <ID> - /disarm <ID> - /Weaps <ID>
(several times) - (ONLY BAN IF THEY RESPAWN A Heatseek) Heatseek
are shown in a White warning message in the chat box. Beware
when typing /heatseek because it shows the /dm zones.
Impersonating - /aka <ID> (Check to see if they have any linked
accounts) - /getinfo <ID> (check to see if they have logged in)
- Continue to ban, However its at your discretion, some
Administrator choose the give impersonators one more chance.
Family or Racial abuse - If you see a player engaging in Family
or Racial abuse and refuses to stop after being warned, then you
may ban them as a last resort. We do not stand for any hatred in
our servers. This section also covers Religion and Politics,
these two are not to be mentioned in the server. Anyone caught
could be demoted
Ban Evader - Report ban evader to higher administrators (Level
5), actions will then be taken against them.
/Heatseek and /Minigun crash hack - This hack is a relatively
new hack which will crash all the admins game, so here is how to
combat it.
Remember the players name (it will be shown in the chat box) -
Sign back into the server with a NON LEVELLED ACCOUNT and
proceed to get that players ID - Sign back into the server with
your LEVELLED ACCOUNT and quickly ban the user. You will know
the hacker is still on when you see the chatbox, DO NOT ban if
the chatbox isn't spammed with the warning message. SPEED IF
VITAL, YOU ONLY GET A FEW SECONDS TO BAN
/Warn Procedures
For new admins, /Warn is what it says on the tin.. Its warns a
player if they have broken any rules, a user is granted 3 warns,
if they are warned 3 times they will be automatically kicked
from the server. Warning a player can be used in many
circumstances, such as:
- Bad Language
- Insulting
- Shooting at the bank
- Spam - Only if they have spammed 10 lines of the same thing..
(only if they are not kicked automatically by the server)
- Spawnkilling
/Jail Procedures
/Jail is used to punish players for commited minor offensive..
jail may be used as an alternative punishment to /warn.
- You may use /jail to jail players for shooting at bank, this
carries a maximum sentence of 2 minutes.. When Jailing a player,
please use respectable times.
How /warn is used - /warn <ID> <Reason>
Remember to give a reason for the warning in full English (or
the players native language)
/kick procedures
/kick is a command that is not used that much, however it is a
command that is used mainly for more serious offences. Although
it is not used that often it can be used on player for offences
such as:
- Bad name
- Severe language after warnings
- If the player is bugged
How /kick is used - /kick <ID> <Reason>
Remember to give a reason for the kick in full English (or the
players native language)
The Do’s and Dont's of being an Administrator
So as an Administrator you have been picked because you are
Mature, Friendly, Knowledgeable and active. At the [KS]community
we try to pride our selves on having administrators that are
just that, we like to trust our admins, we believe that we would
be able to leave an Administrator in a server of 100 people on
there own and they would get the job done, no matter how hard
the job is, this is where some of our administrators stand out
from the others, these are the administrators that will climb
the ranks faster.
Acting professionally towards the players is a vital part of the
job, the players need to be able to trust the administrators.
Therefore, any childish behaviour, or unfair behaviour could
result in restriction on your administrative level, such as a
cap on how high you will be promoted until we feel you have
improved, or even a demotion.
This is a big point - Lately, I have been seeing administrators
using there powers to gain an upper hand on the players.. THIS
IS NOT ALLOWED.
- Using jetpacks to shoot at players! NOT ALLOWED
- Using /vr when fighting in a car! NOT ALLOWED
- Teleporting to player to kill them! NOT ALLOWED - MAY RESULT
IN INSTANT DEMOTION
- Spawning RPG, Minigun, Heatseek, Satchels and any other
forbidden weapon! NOT ALLOWED - MAY RESULT IN INSTANT DEMOTION
We would like to thank you for reading this and the linked
topics, from the Server management to the Server Owners, and
hope you have a successful trip through our Administrative
levels.
Please state you have read this topic and all linked topics with
a simple reply with whether you agree or disagree. If you
disagree or are stuck on anything please contact me.
