Madwon, my reaction to that situation in that bitstrips would've
been like this -

Guys....I'm so glad we have this forum now...
Maybe it's just because I'm in a low mood, but dA is wearing
down on me. I keep letting my notifications pile up and then
certain people like to stir the pot with drama and such....Ugh,
makes me want to become a hermit. I'd still draw...I'd just
like....connect my internet once a month or something ^^;
On a serious side note. This is the time of year where Zach's
work gets really slow. We might be in the same situation as last
year where he'll have to spend two months or more on the other
side of the state. And this time I would have to get a job, so I
wouldn't be able to get online much, draw, or even visit Zach
cos I'd need to work full time to pay for the extra bills. Ugh,
I hope it doesn't happen, but he's dangerously close to getting
forced to temporarily relocate again. I'd much rather try to
sell things or open small emergency commissions than get a real
job ^^
Ugh, the stupid curse of August. August is never a good month
for me v_v

Ya, agree with dA. I have this for some time already.. Liek with
the many gifts when people try out new things and use our OCs
for that and say afterwards it's a gift. :| And other things...
Ya, dA is super messed up. And that's also why I wanted my
contest to end quickly, so that I can reduce socializing there
now. XD But yar. Also with having added all people to fb. I feel
a bit like we can't be 'alone' anymore. I already said and felt
that yesterday - this forum here was so necessary and last
minute best timing! ;o;
And wow, I didn't know that with August and such! :/ And ya, I
think you could get some good money with commissions? And it
would be the best for your soul, I guess. To stay at home and
work freely on them. (Although, of course it would be good to go
outside and meet people and have normal job. But you know how I
mean. Not psychological correct advice, but personal advice. XD
) But yar.. I have a tipp for commissions, so that they don't
entire you or people don't NOT commission: Offer a variety of
works and each maybe with limit spots. Per week maybe. Although,
I find it a bit easier in traditional works, where you can play
much with sizes and buttons, bookmarks etc. Hm hm!
But man, sounds so hard with the job. Even that you guys have to
pay the stay and such. ôO *kicks the company*

Well, I've been thinking for some time about commissions....And
I would like to have all the art I owe finished so I don't run
myself down and get too behind like I did before. So I won't
open until I'm done with that....But I figured I would do a
commission auction. Like have different things I could add/do
for the commission depending on how high the bid is.
Say I'd start out at $15 for a half body with flat colours.
Maybe $30 for full body with shading, $40 with complex
background, $50 I'll add a second drawing - maybe half body, or
they can upgrade to the realistic paintings.
Like I'll have a set of different things they could get, but
they're set are a certain amount. So if the winning big is $30
than I'll just do the one drawing, but if it's higher than that,
I may add a t-shirt, a chibi pixel, etc. And I wouldn't probably
only do this commission auction as a one time thing. Maybe later
in the fall I'd do it again if it's successful. But I would like
to only deal with one commissioner at a time. And I know the
exclusivity helps bump up your appeal.
But yeah...just...Always have bad luck in August. Hopefully I'll
be able to actually do something with Zach this year for my
birthday, like maybe go for a hike by the river or something,
get some frozen yogurt ^^ Who knows though, I don't want to jinx
myself T^T

Nice. I like the dark colored screen better. Retinas won't
burn in the dark of the night ! XD
I'm sorry guys. I really didn't think that DA was weighing so
heavy on you. :(
I hope this August is more kind to you Stef. At least you
don't have the stress of the wedding like you had last year.
But you have the stress of keeping things in order. Hopefully
he won't be forced to transfer. :(
