Clearly, these countries' applications

The brutality of the invasion is reminiscent of that of other
colonial powers that faced the collapse of their empire after
World War II, and of France in particular. In particular,
Russia's actions are reminiscent of the way in which France led
a violent war in Algeria to try to prevent, This perspective
helps to understand the difficulty of reading current events,
which many of us encountered when the invasion took place.
Because it is true that the invasion, from a Russian security
point of view, not only fails to shore it up, but, on the
contrary, weakens it exponentially.
In a week, Putin has managed to get Germany back for the first
time since budget, for the European Union to consider
self-sufficiency in Russian energy sources and for NATO to
dramatically increase its presence in Eastern Europe ( and even
that support for joining it in countries that are not part of
it, such as Finland or Telegram Number Data

Sweden, would grow). Finally, economic
sanctions represent perhaps the greatest threat to Russia's
security, because they will destroy its economy, destabilizing
the country.

It may be that Putin has really miscalculated the consequences
of his invasion or it may be that, instead, the objective was
not to increase security, but to resist one of the last acts of
the decolonization process begun in 1991 and of which this
crisis is the Final product. Much could be discussed about the
clumsiness with which, not only NATO, but especially Europe,
have managed the process of decolonization of the ex-Soviet
space. NATO nor the European space, as the very countries that
have entered these spaces after 1991 have been able to
experience, represent no panacea for their problems and
anxieties of freedom and progress.
