So I looked through a few applications, and I have to say I saw
one that was copied off another member from Sploder Forums.
Also, you guys don't seem to see what you are doing wrong, so I
thought I would set this up for you guys :D
- Make an Introduction. Appeal to the reader and make it sound
exciting.
- Make a 'body'. Outline the good and bad aspects of the game.
- Make a Conclusion. Conclude all of your information so you can
tidy things up, and this is a great way of getting last minute
points in that couldn't fit in before.
- Make some ratings. Of different aspects of the game. I.e.
Originality 3/5. And if you do that total it up so it gives a
'final' score.
- Don't be repetitive. If you are too repetitive it WILL get
denied as it does not have anything else in there, you are just
using the same old meaning every time.
- Review a game people like. If it's a game no one except you
like and if you give it good ratings, that wouldn't be a very
experienced or good reviewing skills. And also if you don't like
a game, don't review it. The point of reviewing is to promote
and name benefits and/or qualities on the game. Also giving tips
on how to improve the game.
- Never give a game 100%. No matter what, no game is EVER
perfect. This will be an indication to Recruiters on how well
you understand the concept of reviewing/rating.
- If you get denied, don't lose hope. It might be a one timer
and you did not successfully get through to a Recruiter/Reader.
Keep trying and improve on what the Recruiters said you could
improve on.
- Don't just review Featured games. Yes, they are good, but
people like other games, not just Featured ones.
- NEVER EVER copy a Review - This is a serious offence of the
Reviewers privacy. Think, 'Would I like others to take credit
for my awesome review?'
This will we updated as I think of other things.
