       Not very sure about the reason, can you elaborate? :)

       Density of ice at 0C is less than that of water at 0C, because
       when cooled, the ice molecules form stable hydrogen bonds and
       freeze into hexagonal lattices. Probably the interstetial space
       increases, so the density decreases...
