1). a car tyre,pumped in the morning at 10 degree C to a
pressure of 0.20N per mm squared, increases in pressure as its
temperature rises. if the temperatures reaches 18 degree C,what
is the new pressure,the volume being constant?
2). 400cm cubed of nitrogen at 30 degree C is heated at constant
pressure to a temperature of 50 degree C find the new volume of
hydrogen..
please i need the answers today.

For question 1.
Use the pressure law
P1/T1 =P2/T2
You have the initial pressure, ie the pressure in the morning as
0.2N/mm
The initial temperature, 10'C, convert into Kelvin temperature
then you have the final temperature as 18'C, convert this to
kelvin
The remaining variable is the final pressure, P2. You can now
solve for P2.
For Question 2.
Use charle's law, V1/T1=V2/T2
V1 is the initial volume, 400cm3
T1=initial temperature=30'C, convert to K.
T2=50'C, convert to K
then solve for V2

In question 2
Volume of hydrogen? We were talking about Nitrogen

that mistake was from me... i meant to type nitrogen not
hydrogen..

Can you see that we have V1,T1 and T2, all that's left is V2 so
we substitute V1,T1 and T2 into the equation to get V2
