       [spoiler]Because direct nitration also oxidizes the -NH2 group,
       we need to deactivate it first, using Ac2O to get Ph-NHAc.
       Treating this with HNO3 gives p-nitro acetanilide as the major
       product. Then we can rehydrate to get back p-nitro
       aniline.[/spoiler]
