Why there are so many lines in hydrogen spectrum even though
hydrogen atom contains only one electron?

Because, if enough energy is put in, the electron can become
excited to any electron shell (2-7). Then it can fall down
directly, from the excited to stationary state, or it can fall
from one electron shell to a lower electron shell that is still
above the the stationary level. There are many possible
combinations, thus the many lines in hydrogen's spectrum.

Yes, also because any sample of hydrogen contains almost
infinite number of atoms and hence electrons.
