Q/ what are the impacts of introduction of a "benzenesulfonamide
moiety" to a molecule, from a medicinal chemistry point of view
?

I'm just sharing my opinion here,, ;D ;D
the molecule that you want to start with must have a known
medicinal effect and you're modifying it for sake of altering
that effect in some , you cant take any random molecule and
stick some functional group to it and expect it to function in
some way or another, you have to experiment, but suppose you
have an extremely toxic peptide and you've modified that with
some moiety, chances are the resulting peptide will still be
toxic depending on the reason that made the initial peptide
toxic in the first place.
