Approximation to saturation?

So let the chemists here help me clean this up... Is there any
way a compound with a C=C bond can be 'approximately saturated'?
For instance consider a hypothetical compound C150H299COOH
Here nearly the entire hydrocarbon chain is -C-C- but then
there's just one double bond. Would you treat it as an
unsaturated compound or as a 'nearly saturated' compound? How
easy is it for an attacking reagent to add across the double
bond?
