I am not really sure, but with HCl I guess that two types of
complexes with Cu(II) will form, like [Cu(H2O)6]2+ and
[CuCl6]4-. So, maybe in dilute HCl, the colour should be more
blue and less green (blue+yellow<blue for low concentrations of
Cl-).
Edit: Sorry, it wasn't a typo. I guessed it wrong.

Review your post, i think the [Cu(NH3)4]2+ is a typo? :)
