one is it. PCl3 is also liquid, so it can't be the solution. I

Okay, sadly, I've been too busy this week to be active here, but
I want to post a new POTW next week, so I'll give a Big hint: X
was used as a war gas at some point in recent history...

I was thinking a lot about this problem, but anything I thought
off was either solid or liquid (mainly phosphorus and sulfur
chloride compounds). Now, after your last hint, I think its
phosgene. Don't know why, but I just never thought about it here
:-\.

yeah, phosgene is the answer...but would +10 come that easily
after the big hint? who writes the equations of reaction gets
the karmas :)

I mean; what is the equation of the reaction between phosgene
and ethanol?
