Myoglobin acts as 'a reservoir' for the storage of O2, and also
transports O2 within muscle cells

Myoglobin consists of heme- a complex of Fe(II) bonded to a
quadridentate ligand, and globin. Globin is a protein attached
to one of the octahederal positions of Fe(II). The sixth
position is vacant in free myoglobin but it's occupied by O2 in
oxymyoglobin, hence myoglobin transports O2. That's all i know
