       it can be prepared by passing steam over red hot coke at the
       temperature of 1000 C
       H2O(g) + C  = H2 +CO
       Or by reaction of carbon with Fe2O3
       3C + Fe2O3 = 2Fe + 3CO

       Welcome to Chemistry planet :-) Of course, there are several
       routes to prepare a compound. I go with this one as there is not
       much heating involved in this reaction.
