A Simple Question

A small volume of liquid is to be measured. If a 10-mL
graduated cylinder is not available, how can you calibrate a
test tube so that it will server the same purpose as that of the
cylinder?

Quite long since I handled stuff like these, hopefully I'm not
wrong here... if your test tube and measuring cylinder are of
the same diameter, you could start calibration from a point
close to the bottom of the tube and make that 0ml, then i think
10 equal divisions make 1ml, and so on...
It could become trickier if they are of different diameters. You
might calculate the height of 1ml volume from the bottom of the
tube using πr2h,
where r is the radius of your test tube.
Let πr2h=1ml, then find h.
after finding h, you mark the point as 1ml, then you can
measure equal divisions below it till the bottom of the test
tube(0ml)
