Virial equations

Well, I'm basically more in engineering than chemist. when i see
virial equations in physical chemistry texts, I often wonder if
they have any physical significance or any real applications in
determining properties of gas, or are they just taught to add
more math to the chemistry. for instance what is the physical
significance of the virial coefficients?

so we can approach
the exact value of symbols like p, T, and Vm.
you can ignore -C/Vm2 so forth if the Vm is so big like the
gasses have.
this equation just an approach, so you can solve your problem
with ease.
don't being intimidated with the complex equations, the
equations just tell you the truth by their ways. :)
