the discussion above is valid within the limitation of collision
theory, but i turned out to be erroneous considering the
transition state theory of chemical kinetics.
i didn't know about that so thank you chemistry for reply, you
deserve an applause. ;D

Not necessarily erroneous. AFAIK, the collission theory works
fine for gaseous systems, only fumbling when perhaps there are
multiple transition states in the reaction

i think, more simple explanation is the pressure will force many
molecule to collide more intensely.
the constant 'k' is the one who depends on the collision
probability, more intense collision will rise this 'k' constant
up, vice versa.
ask boltzman, who invent this one. ;D

depends on how you increase the pressure, you could increase
pressure by injecting an inert gas at constant volume, what do
you think?, how about increasing the amount of a gaseous
reactant? what do you think?
