'plastic' can be considered a generic term used to refer to
synthetic polymers.
Resin is a natural or synthetic compound which is a highly
viscous liquid and hardens after treatment. Resin can be natural
or synthetic. Plastics are synthetic. Typically, plastics can be
obtained by treating resins
