silver iodide is used for artificial rain
due to its ice like crystal

The use of silver iodide means that
there is a lot of silver that also
rains over the landscape. If cloud
seeding is done for many years
in a place, this silver begins to accumulate in plant and animal
bodies. AgI is quite a toxic chemical, and can cause anaemia,
weakness, etc. The side effects of this new laser technique are
likely to be not as bad as with Silver Iodide. Hopefully, we'll
know more about this in the next few years

Dry ice can also be used to seed clouds
