The Difference Between "Object Enable" and "Disab

You probably wondered why your door is
closing rather than opening.
This is the thread explaining how you can fix that.
It's true what they say, the more the
merrier. More detail, more views / likes / praise. You want to
make a town, filled with beautifully decorated statues, plant
life, and houses. Oh boy, you need extra time with houses. You
see, not everything in a house is done in one model. The inside
of the rooms need to be decorated with different sized models,
painted with the right materials, and you also need a door.
Checking to see if the door was correct, you find out that
there's no way to open it. Using a twitch of logic, you set up
the simple door with a pressure plate and an object enabler.
WELL, turns out that the door keeps closing once you step on the
pressure plate. You used an object enabler wrong. Need help?
Just follow these simple steps and you'll turn out fine.
1. Check to see if you have the correct logic.
You'll need: 1 pressure plate, 1-2 models depending on your
door, 1-2 object enablers depending on your door, and a negate
box. The second model and object enabler is optional for the
completed door.
2. Check to see if the logic is connected.
I'm a bit lazy to create a graph, so I just made this picture
here.

The Pressure Plate is connected to the Negate Box, which forces
the Object Enabler to do the opposite, Disable. The Object
Disabler is then connected to the model you desire, and then
stays on until activated.
3. Other notes.
Make sure there's two things done to the logic, one is you hide
the pressure plate, the other being hiding the outline.

There you have it, a working door. Don't say I didn't teach
you.

Figured out that logic trick a while ago. One thing that would
have people use the sound logic more often, is if you could
download your own music from like youtube :o
