WHO IS THE PROMISED COMFORTER

I give thanks and adoration to the creator of heaven and earth
and protector of Everything.
One the great misconceptions of those that called themselves
Christians is WHO IS PROMISED COMFORTER?
Firstly, we are going to know the meaning of comforter. The word
'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek
word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather
than a comforter.
Many Christians believe that THE PROMISED COMFORTER is holy
spirit why many Muslims believe that THE PROMISED COMFORTER is
no other person than Muhammad.
In John chapter 14,15&16 Jesus prophesied about a COMFORTER that
will come after him which Christians have misconception about.
Many comforters used in the Bible are human beings, For example
a. Noah was a comforter (Genesis 5:29)
b. Isaiah's mother was a comforter (Isaiah 66:13)
c. David's messengers are comforters. (2 Samuel 10:3)
For more verses on comforters, see 1 chronicles 19:3, Job 16:2,
Psalms 69:20, Ecclesiastes 4:1, Nahum 3:7 etc.
There are lot of verses that comforter is been referred to as
human being which means ANOTHER COMFORTER is human being.
If we now look into Bible and explain the word of Jesus about
COMFORTER.
According to
i. John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, he shall give you
another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever."
ii. John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send
unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."
iii. John 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is
expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the
Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send
him unto you".
iv. John 16:12-14 "I have yet many things to say unto you, but
ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is
come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak
of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".
The first thing we should note from these verses is the word
"ANOTHER COMFORTER" which means Jesus agreed to be a comforter
and another man or prophet like him will come, It is very
illogical and contradictory to believe that ANOTHER COMFORTER
means ANOTHER HOLY SPIRIT as only one Holy Spirit existed at the
time of Jesus. And if ANOTHER COMFORTER means ANOTHER HOLY
SPIRIT, then who was the OTHER HOLY SPIRIT before the coming of
ANOTHER "HOLY SPIRIT" ? Therefore,it is logical and scriptural
to say that another comforter means another Prophet of God as
Jesus was also a Prophet as written in Mat. 21:10-11, Mat.
21:46, Luke 24:49, Luke 13:33, Luke 7:16 , Mark 6:4 etc. And the
only Prophet that came after Jesus was the Holy Prophet Muhammad
through Abraham.
Jesus also said "he may abide with you forever", Christians use
to say since Muhammad died how can he abide with us forever
which means comforter can not be Muhammad, but Jesus didn't use
‘die’ but he used ‘abide’, What Jesus meant by this statement is
that, the spiritual impact of the message he will bring from
God, will be the final Prophet from God (Q33:40), therefore his
teachings or message will continue to abide forever and ever
with us as God will not send another message after him living.
This is how the Holy Prophet Muhammed is now living with us
through his teachings forever. That's why Allah says about His
message (the Glorious Qur' an) revealed to Muhammad in Qur'an
15:9 "Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the
Quran) and surely, We will guard it ( forever from corruption)"
and also this same message is called the most perfect and
everlasting message in Revelation 14:6-7.
Another point is that Jesus reffered to the COMFORTER as SPIRIT
OF TRUTH, now Christians also used to proof that Muhammad is not
spirit but a prophet, how can he be the SPIRIT OF TRUTH ?, this
misconception can be cleared if we read and understand many
verses where the word SPIRIT is used synonymous as PROPHET such
as 1 John 4:1 “Beloved, do not believe EVERY SPIRIT, but test
the SPIRIT to see whether they are from God, for many false
PROPHETS have gone out into the world”. And also the name given
to Muhammed (even his enemies accepted it) is ‘THE MOST
TRUSTWORTHY’. This is a clear proof that PROPHET OF TRUTH can be
used synonymous as SPIRIT OF TRUTH.
Jesus also said “he shall testify me”, Bible also explained how
to know false prophet or spirit in 1 John 4:2-3 “This is the
proof of the spirit of God: any spirit which acknowledges Jesus
Christ, come in human nature, is from God, and no spirit which
fails to acknowledge Jesus is from God; it is the spirit of
Antichrist”. And as we can see even without many explanation
prophet Muhammad testify that Jesus Christ is from God (Q43:59,
Q19:19 etc) that's why all followers of Muhammad believe in
Jesus that's why at the same time they are followers of Jesus
and other prophets bcus he testified of all of them that they
came from God.
Like we said earlier that Christians believe that the Comforter
mentioned in these prophecies referred to the Holy Sprit. They
fail to realise that the criteria for the prophecy is that only
if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come or the
Comforter can only come after he (Jesus) left the world (in John
16:7). This is one of the proofs that disqualified the HOLY
SPIRIT from being the Comforter because Bible states that the
Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the
time of Jesus, eg Holy Spirit had been ministering to Jesus
through out his ministry, in John 20:22 Jesus breathed into his
disciples and said receive the Holy Spirit, in Mat. 12:28 Jesus
cast out demons with the assistance of the Holy Spirit. In Luke
3:22 the Holy Spirit descended unto Jesus at River Jordan like a
dove, etc.
Another point in John 16:12-14 of the prophecy has indicated to
us that Jesus did not get the opportunity of declaring all what
he needed to tell his people (Jews) that's why he told them
about THE COMFORTER which means the comforter must teach new
things, We challenge the whole Christians to tell us any new
thing the Holy Spirit tells them about Jesus which is not in
their bible? And also as we all knew that holy spirit is one why
is it that all different sets in Christianity have different
doctrine since they all believe in holy spirit, holy spirit
suppose to teach them the same thing, but they only follow their
own conjecture but attributed it to holy spirit. Jesus now
mentioned some criteria to identify THE COMFORTER.
Firstly, Jesus said “he will guide you unto all truth”, this is
the main purpose of prophet Muhammad been sent to this world, as
God also says in Qur'an 7:158 “….So believe in Allah and His
Messenger, the Unlettered Prophet, who believeth in Allah and
His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided." God also
referred to him as guidance to the right path or to the way of
truth in Q 11:17, Q 22:54, Q 39:41, Q 36:3-4 etc.
Another criteria which Jesus mentioned is “for he shall not
speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he
speak”, prophet Muhammad never speak of his own but he spoke
base on what was revealed to him as God says in
Jesus also mentioned that “He shall glorify me”, prophet
Muhammad glorified Jesus and all other prophets from God even
out of the glory of Jesus in Qur'an that's what a man called
himself Mario Joseph compiled together with lies and used it to
deceive people but thank God we have exposed him, to see how we

the salutation of peace whenever they called Jesus' name. Now,
just take some of the glories of Jesus in the glorious Qur'an,
read Qur'an 19:16-34 about the virgin birth of Jesus, Qur'an
3:35-46 about the birth of Jesus' Mother (Mary), Qur'an
5:110-118 about his miracles and other things about him, Qur'an
3:49-64 about his mission, Qur'an 4:156-158 about his miraculous
escaped from the cross, Qur'an 4:171-173 about his real status,
etc.
Jesus also described THE COMFORTER in John 14:17 that the world
received him not because they do not see him and not know him,
Christians will say since they saw and knew Muhammad how can it
be him, but they have forgotten that many people saw holy spirit
as well eg. Mary (Mat. 1:18, Q19:19), Zachariah (Q3:39), Joseph
(Mat. 1:20) etc. The verse is not saying that people do not see
him with the physical eyes, but with the spiritual eyes. it only
refers to their spiritual blindness with respect to the message
he brought from God, therefore, could not see or perceived his
impact as a result of their spiritual blindness, as Jesus also
said in Mat 13:13 “The reason I talk to them in parables is that
they look without seeing and listen without hearing or
understanding”. And God also says in Qur'an 34:28 “And We have
not sent you (O Muhammad SAW) except as a giver of glad tidings
and a warner to all mankind, but most of men know not”
The Promised Comforter is Prophet Muhammad because the mission
of Jesus Christ wouldn't have been completed without marking a
powerful outstanding prophecy about the coning of the final and
universal prophet that would succeed him, that's why we says
Muhammad is the natural successor for Jesus. As Jesus also said
in gospel of Barnabas chapter 97 that God said “When I shall
send thee into the world I shall send thee as my messenger of
salvation, and thy word shall be true, in so much that heaven
and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall never fail. Mohammed
is his blessed name.”

A reply to the article "Who is the coming comforter"
According to the scriptural reference of the writer of this
article: John 14:16-17- And I will pray the Father, and He will
give you another Helper, that 1He may abide with you forever—
the 2Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it
neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells
with you and 3will be in you.
John 16:7- 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your
advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper
will not come to you; but if I depart, 4I will send Him to you.
John 16:14- 5He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is
Mine and declare it to you.
1. The Comforter/Helper will "Abide" with you "forever", where
is Muhammad today? Is he still here with us? The dictionary
meaning for Abide is stay or live. I don't see how this would be
Muhammad. The writer even tried to twist his own words that,
Truly Muhammad isn't here but his word is still with us. Clearly
that verse didn't say anything about the Comforters word abiding
forever but the Comforter himself.
2. The "Spirit" of Truth, emphasis "Spirit". Is Muhammad a
spirit? The writer also claims that Muhammad has the Truth but
wait, After the phrase "Spirit of Truth" you see that Jesus said
you cannot see him. Why? Because he is a spirit.
3. He will be in you, is Muhammad in anybody?
4. Jesus said, "I" will send him to you. It is Jesus who sends
the Comforter, If you agree that this Comforter is Muhammad,
then you should agree that it is Jesus who sent Muhammad, that
is Jesus has Authority over Muhammad.
5. He will Glorify me, Glorify who? Glorify Jesus. What does it
mean to Glorify? Praise or worship. Muhammad is to Praise and
worship Jesus if he is the Comforter. But this isn't the case,
even Muhammad put him self above Jesus, by claiming to be the
last Prophet.
• Another Comforter in Greek means Allos Parakletos, that is
Another like me. That is, Jesus was a Comforter on Earth, he
didn't condemn people, this Spirit will also do the same, the
only difference is that you won't see him because he will be in
you. This Spirit dwells in all born-again child of God. That's
why any genuine child of God Has to Love their enemy, comfort
people because of the Spirit in them. Muhammad isn't clearly
(According to History and the Hadith) a peaceful person.
• 1John 4:2-3- 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every
spirit that confesses that Jesus (is) Christ has come in the
flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that
a Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this
is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was
coming, and is now already in the world.
What does Christ mean? The anointed one, Lord. So any Spirit
that doesn't Confess Jesus as Lord and also Confess that this
Lord came in the Flesh, is not of God. This verse alone
disagrees totally with the belief of Islam. Muhammad said Jesus
isn't Lord but a Prophet. According to this verse (that the
writer quoted himself and not me) the spirit that spoke to
Muhammad isn't from God, in fact that Spirit is Anti- Christ.
This is just like a prophecy, saying a spirit will come and
deny that Jesus isn't Christ. So you will know that the Spirit
that spoke to Muhammad was Anti- Christ (You see how I kept on
emphasising "Spirit").
Yes! The Holy Spirit Will have to come after Jesus Leaves, the
Holy Spirit Was in "Jesus", Jesus have to leave so that the same
Spirit can be in his disciples (This point also explains the
Unity between God,Jesus, Spirit.) This is what we mean when
Christians say God lives in us because the Spirit of God Is God.
Jesus Didn't say the Comforter will glorify him and other
Prophets but "me", him alone.
Mary, Joseph or Zachariah didn't see the Holy Spirit, they saw
an Angel of the Lord, Read Luke 1 and 2.
According to the Gospels you quoted in John, let me make you
understand what the work of the Comforter will be :
1. Advocate, John 16:7, that is the Comforter will be an
Advocate. An Advocate is like a supporter or representative.
That is the Comforter will be a representative of Jesus. Is
Muhammad representing Jesus?
2. This Comforter will convict the world of Sin, John 16:8. And
verse 9 of this same chapter explains what this sin is. The
world's sin is that they refuse to believe Jesus is Christ, John
16:13.
3. This comforter will tell you whatever he receives, John
16:15. Receives from who? Receives from Jesus. This Comforter
receives from Jesus.
Don't just quote a part of the Gospel, the Gospel is an account
of eye witnesses, whatever you quote from Mathew, you should
also confirm it from Mark,Luke and John. So let's see what other
Gospel account say about this comforter:
Mathew 28:20- 20 teaching them to observe all things that I
have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the
end of the age.” Amen. If Jesus is leaving them, how can he be
with them always? Because this Comforter is another like Jesus,
3rd Person of God, the Spirit of God. This is clearly not
Muhammad.
Luke 24:49- 49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon
you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem i until you are endued
with power from on high.”
When Jesus received breathed on them and said receive the Holy
Spirit, if they received the Holy Spirit At that point, then why
did he tell them to tarry In Jerusalem? They were to tarry in
Jerusalem to receive the Holy Spirit. See Acts 1:4-5; 4 And
being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to
depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the
Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John
truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the
Holy Spirit not many days from now.” and it was after this in
Acts 2:1-4 that they received the Comforter, the promise of the
father ; 1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were
all with one accord a in one place. 2 And suddenly there came
a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled
the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared
to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of
them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
So let's assume this Comforter is a man, that man is supposed to
be like Jesus. Was Muhammad like Jesus? You can't even compare
Muhammad with Jesus. If we still continue with this assumption,
if this Comforter is a Man and should be like Jesus, Jesus is
from a Jewish descendant, was Muhammad a Jew?
Finally, Muslims believe the Bible has been corrupted or
falsified, I don't know why you still have to use this same
corrupted Bible to prove any of your claims. Just stick to the
Quran.

I thought this man brought a new proof that has not been explain
from the article already, I don't need to explain much again,
the greatest Antichrists are those who called JESUS GOD bcus
what Antichrist means is someone that against Jesus and Jesus
never claim to be God but rather he said God is greater than him
John 14:28, only God is good Mat.19:17, only God is true God and
classified himself as messenger John 17:3 if Muhammad classify
or call Jesus of what JESUS called himself (one of the greatest
messenger) does that make him Antichrist ? Called him prophet
JESUS also classify himself as prophet. THE GREATEST ANTICHRIST
ARE CHRISTIANS THAT SAYS JESUS IS GOD bcus Jesus will surely
deny them.
And concerning that Muhammad glorify Jesus that has been
explained earlier, please give me a verse from Quran that talk
of any bad thing abt Jesus, or his word (hadith), unlike the
bible, u can't see where Qur'an says Jesus entered person's farm
on Sabbath day and he eat without seeking the owner's permission
and now use skill to compare himself as old prophet, rather he
said the closest person to Isa the son of Maryam is me (sohih
Muslim) and Quran clarify this misconception in Qur'an 16:6
without using Bible at all we are satisfy with it but we don't
want u to die with that misconceptions that is why we use d
Bible u believe to explain for u bcus Allah make it known that
we should speak to people base on their intelligent.
And if Muslims believe that Bible is corrupted that's the fact
but what is happening is what yoruba yoruba called kanda kuro
ninu iresi meaning separation of sands from rice, if u see
someone that is eating rice with sands and in his mind he is
eating good rice, d best help u can render to him is to show him
rice and sand if u have good rice to give him offer it to him,
and if u don't have explain how to separate it for him, but if
he refuse it is now left to him.

Christians, bcus Jesus said he spoke to them in parable bcus
they have eyes without see, ear with hear that means they are
blind in understanding his word Mat 13:13.
