       Develop services to control fleets of safer

       The left generates very few models and forecasts of its own.
       That doesn't mean we have to live in an alternate reality or
       have models based on different numbers, but we need to know how
       they are constructed. How do you define a variable? What are
       your data sources? These assumptions are not foreign to the
       institutional sites where they originate and, in some cases, to
       the financial or political prerogatives of the body or
       organization that develops the model, be it the United Nations
       Organization (UN), the World Bank , companies of commodities and
       analytics from the private sector or the International Energy
       Agency ( IEA).
       The question they always ask is: "How can we change as Phone

       as possible?" Perhaps this is a testament
       to how hegemonic car culture is or how reticent policymakers,
       officials and bureaucrats at elite agencies are. Whether their
       blinders prevent them from asking certain questions or whether
       they want to preserve as much of the status quoas possible, the
       bottom line is that existing models of raw material requirements
       are of little use if the goal is to reduce the damage inflicted
       by mining. What they are all basically saying is: "we need a lot
       of mineral, we need it soon and we need it from everywhere we
       can get it.

       There is no thought about holistic planning, what is actually
       needed or the best use of different geographical landscapes.
       When I say that the left needs its own models, I say it because
       models are a political tool, influenced by ideologies and
       determined and financed by economic interests that benefit from
       their findings. We must not alter the facts or the numbers, but
       we must ask different questions, start from different
       assumptions, identify clear parameters and show, empirically,
       that other futures are possible and that they have quantitative
       weight behind them that supports them.
