Alabaster kept his gaze on Sophie as she shifted, though because
of her positioning the man could not see her reaching for the
blade. He seemed rather unworried, though... After all, she was
a mere girl, surely she would not be much of a threat.
When he soon found the girl facing him again, with a knife
pointed at him, the assassin instinctively took a step back,
feeling his lips pull down into a frown. However, within seconds
of the girl trying to threaten him, the man broke out into quiet
laughter, and a grin formed on his features.
"Ahh, so the signora is not as ignorant as she appears," he
purred, the grin soon shifting to form a smirk on his face, "No,
I am not one of your father's slaves. Who I am is of no
importance here, I'm afraid. What is important, however..." he
paused, his face going completely serious in an instant, "Is
what to do with you. After all, I don't want some silly girl
telling everyone there is an intruder in the mix."

Sophie gave a low growl as Alabaster actually seemed to laugh at
her. She held the knife a bit tighter, still holding it towards
Alabaster as her eyes narrowed a bit. "Of course I'm not
ignorant... My father taught me well!" The girl spat in
response, though his purr and grin threw her off somewhat.
Honestly she'd been expecting a more threatening intimidating
mannerisms, not... This...
When he suddenly became seriously and he asked the question of
what to do with her. "I'm the one with the knife!" She growled,
feeling a shiver run down her spine... What on earth could this
man want with her and her family?

Alabaster chuckled quietly at the girl's growling, having to
keep himself from bursting out in full blown laughter. "You
really think a tiny, pathetic blade like that, wielded by a girl
would be at all offensive? My, my, you are certainly mistaken. I
have been impaled by far worse than a puny little knife."

Sophie's cheeks flamed with embarrassment as the stranger mocked
the knife she was holding and the fact that it was a girl
wielding it. "And what's to stop me from screaming out to
everyone in the house?" She hissed, shifting her stance a bit
though she kept the blade level at the intruder.

Hearing Sophie's words made all amusement drain from Alabaster's
face. As she spoke about screaming, the man moved his fingers
just slightly to trigger something, and a blade descended from
his wrist. "Do not even think about it, ragazza," he murmured,
seeming calm even though his eyes said otherwise, "I will have
no issue silencing you before you even have the chance."
(ragazza = girl)

A flash of fear crossed Sophie's face as she heard Alabaster's
words... Her skin paling even more than it was naturally,
especially when she saw the blade descending from his wrist.
"I-If you kill me... Then my father really will know that
there's an intruder in this house!" Though her fear didn't stop
her from keeping her knife up.

"Do you honestly think I would stick around for your father to
find me?" As he spoke, Alabaster leaned in slightly, so he was a
tad bit closer to Sophie. "You would not be the first person I
have killed, Cara mia," he hummed, "It is so easy to take a life
and flee before one is caught."
(Cara mia = my dear)

Sophie felt hot tears burn in her eyes as Alabaster spoke once
more... Feeling horribly trapped by this intruder, she had no
doubt that he would kill her the moment she tried to reveal his
presence. When he leaned in towards her, the girl jerked
backwards... Not wanting to be close at all to this man who'd
threatened her life.
After a moment she lowered the knife, though she kept it ready
in her hands just in case he tried anything funny. "Why are you
here?" She bit out, struggling to hold back her tears.

Alabaster smirked as he saw that the girl was giving in, and he
leaned back to give her a bit of space once more. "My reason for
being here does not concern you," he said simply, letting his
eyes trail the grounds to make sure no suspicious gazes were
being cast their way. "I have something I must do and as soon as
it is finished, I shall take my leave. That's all you need to
know."

Sophie took a shuddering breath, forcing back her tears as she
tried to remain strong despite the terrible situation she was
in. "It sure does concern me!" She hissed, "You're the one
threatening my life just so you can stay and do your business!"
Though before she could say anything else or even hear if
Alabaster had a response for her a voice called out to her.
"Sophie! My dear, our guests have arrived!" Her father said,
loud enough so that she could hear.
The girl gritted her teeth slightly before she moved to crouch
by the bench and slide the knife back underneath the stone.
"Coming father!" She responded, standing up and moving to walk
past Alabaster and head back to the house.
