The payoff isn't large enough. Marvel Cinematic Universe fans
aren't necessarily fans of any other Marvel products like their
countless animated series or even their original comic books.
And Marvel does not have permission to reference anything DC
helped them make unless they pay DC to do so. And corporations
don't like to pay their competitors.

Warner Bros. going out of business and Disney buying the rights
