I'm not sure how many times I have to say this, but at some
point every single gimmick in existence becomes boring. We've
seen Godzilla, we've seen Godzilla's villain stable, we don't
need to see King Kong too. It's all distracting from the main
point of reading the comic, which are the Power Rangers.

Power Rangers comics.
The crossovers have all existed to get people interested in
Power Rangers. You can't keep begging people to like them by
putting in other characters they already like, at some point
seeing PR/Godzilla Part 12 or PR/Ninja Turtles Part 25, readers
will inevitably tire of the exact same formula over and over and
over and over again. It's like eating cake for every meal, your
tastebuds would get so used to cake that your brain would lose
enjoyment for it and start to crave literally anything but the
same thing again.
The Power Rangers need to be able to tell a cohesive story
without reliance on another franchise or an evil Ranger.

Facing them doesn't automatically mean they would succeed.
Remember, the reason the Psycho Rangers were able to steal
information from the Space Rangers was because they surprised
them, and even with that stolen information still ended up
losing to them and being killed by them twice. The Psycho
Rangers are well known enough now that Power Rangers teams would
know what to avoid.
