Someone always comes for the Darkhold. That's the only thing
they ever use it for in the comics, it's a macguffin.

One Darkhold is enough, and if it were good it wouldn't be
dangerous. The whole point of the Darkhold is to show the
audience that unlimited power is always dangerous.

Scarlet Witch became wouldn't be scary. Scarlet Witch was scary
because of the Darkhold's evil power, a good Darkhold wouldn't
do that. Fear is a necessary element for the Darkhold to be a
compelling item in Marvel Comics.

Upgrades are just gimmicks. Comic books need stories, not just
constant gimmicks.
