Not without a point to it.
If there is a new story involving aliens, obviously they should.
But just for the sake of adding more makes for crappy books.

The Amalgam Universe is dormant. DC and Marvel now being owned
by rival entertainment companies will most likely never work
together again.

They can't buy the rights, it would require selling DC to
Marvel. Amalgam has literally no value without the heroes being
Marvel/DC hybrids.
That being said, there is a rumor that Warner Bros. Discovery is
so strapped for cash that they could sell DC Comics, which would
then allow Disney to buy it. So stay tuned.

Plagiarism lawsuits are a thing. No creative person in the
industry would ever rip off a character gimmick so obviously
unless they were purely in it for money.
