Those are two different things.
He should regain his marriage to Mary Jane because Spider-Man
fans have wanted that and gotten that in every conceivable
alternate universe title for years now. The Superior Spider-Man
was a work of a madman and should never be used again.

Peter Parker is New York. If he leaves New York permanently, it
ruins Spider-Man.

I think they're in the minority, because right now Spider-Man
stories are doubling down on past elements on people are liking
those stories more than the ones who kept pushing new things.
