mentioning that people want to read stories, not just see
superpowers. People love Peter Parker, not just Spider-Man, so
continually making him stronger and making him only ever do
superhero things is hurtful and dismissive of the readers.
Comic books belong to everyone, not just you. As a comic book
publisher, it is not just important but CRITICAL you hold true
to those values, Kipp.

a major player, it's you who thinks he isn't a major player
already.
And if he had all of those powers, he wouldn't be Spider-Man
anymore, he would just be Everything-Man and no one wants to
read that book. Silver Age Superman could do everything and
became such an uninteresting read due to his invincibility that
the authors had to remove half of what Superman could do in
order to make his conflicts challenging and compelling again.

marvel and malibu comics were making nightman they split him
into 2 and one stays regular nightman an other is transformed,
would that work?

But then you're just admitting that Peter Parker isn't necessary
to your idea.
He's a scientific genius from New York who has the powers of a
spider. Everything else you're suggesting is an entirely
different person, so just make an entirely different person and
leave Peter out of it.
