Pirates of the caribbean: Dean men tell no tales

Since our girl is confirmed to appear, I've decided to open this
thread.
I think it's gonna be just a cameo, similar to geoffrey rush in
dead man's chest

Well, apparently, despite her appearance in the trailer, they're
being very hush hush about it.
However, knowing Keira if she did make a reappearance it must
have been for a good reason, and I don't think she'd just show
up for a cameo without there being a very good reason, and some
screen time, behind it.
And honestly, we really don't know how long her part is so let's
hope for the best! :)

Truthfully I don't think she'd do it if she couldn't film her
scenes within a few days; I'm not expecting more than 10 minutes
of screen time or more than a couple of scenes. Hopefully it IS
more than that tiny blip in the trailer :P

Well, I think the easiest way to get her to do it would be to
promise her it could be done in a day or two. And maybe even
shot close to London. I'll be extremely surprised if there is
any significant amount of screen time involved.
I could also imagine it being a favour asked for as part of the
deal for The Nutcracker.

I heard they filmed exclusively in Australia though. I don't
think they'd relocate shooting her scenes in Great Britain just
for her, given production costs. Conversely, I don't think she'd
go all the way to Australia to film a five second cameo.
I agree that she likely did it as a favour for doing the
Nutcracker. However, I still think she wouldn't have done it
just for that. She has, in a roundabout way, criticized her lack
of good storyline before on Pirates, so I think she would have
needed a really good reason to make an appearance. Especially
given how adamant she was that she wasn't going to return to the
franchise.
I also agree with you that there likely isn't a significant
amount of screen time. However, for the reasons above, I also
don't think it's a blip-and-you-missed-her appearance. Maybe a
little bit with a backstory of her and her son, worth a few
minutes at least, plus a reunion with Orlando Bloom on the
screen. It is Disney, after all and they specialize in happy
fairy-tale endings.

Don't get your hopes up for much screen time.

I'm not. I still think that she will have at least a few minutes
though. In a film that usually stretches over two hours, that is
a minuscule amount of time.

Orlando Bloom has also confirmed that Keira Knightley will be in
the movie. I'd love to see her promoting this movie, but I know
that she probably won't

So, the reviews for the movie are coming in and it's not great.

However, as Keira is in the movie for a only brief cameo
according to some reviews (you guys were right), I guess it
won't affect her much. Depp seems to be getting most of the
derision from the critics.
I still think it was a good move on her part to at least agree
to a cameo. Getting publicity never hurts an actor, especially
when it comes to huge summer blockbusters.
