OMG! I'm FREAKING out right now! And, as usual, that picture of
her in costume is absolutely gorgeous!
I can't wait until next month! I'm so excited to see her. I hope
her cameo is at least a few minutes long, and not just a blip
and she's gone kinda thing.
Does anyone think she'll do any kind of promotion for her cameo?
Edit: The Japanese trailer and the news that Keira is back in
Pirates is all over entertainment news. I guess the cat's
officially out of the bag.

I'm not surprised that the rumour turned out to be true.
But I am very surprised that they've let the cat out of the bag
now.
Sure, it's generated a bit of press, but if her part is as small
as the original story made it seem they risk pissing people off.
I certainly would be if this is what made me go see the movie
only for her to only show up for five seconds.
Well, we'll know soon enough. I wonder if she's going to appear
in a flashback. Otherwise the age difference between her and her
supposed son is quote a bit off. :)

It's not a flashback. And Henry is supposed to be 19 so it is a
bit of a stretch of the imagination

people seem to be really excited about Keira's appearance in
that trailer.
if she's only in the movie for 5 seconds people might be
disappointed.

Yes, it's literally everywhere that she's returning, so if her
cameo is 5 seconds, Disney is going to have quite a few angry
fans.
Also, I've noticed that people seem to be really excited by her
return. I think even more so than Orlando Bloom's, which is
great! :)
Let's hope she has at least a few minutes in the
movie...although it would have been nice if she had a minor arc
that lasted more than that.

Well Keira can actually ACT and has built a nice career, unlike
Orlando who's really done nothing outside the Pirates movies and
basically had to beg his way into being included in this one.
Not sure how much screen time I'm expecting for Keira, but I
doubt it will be very much. :-[

No, it won't be much, but at least she's in it. I think it's a
great move. It's tons of publicity for her for a small amount of
work.
The funny thing is Orlando formally studied acting and Keira
didn't. Yet, Keira has built a career around critically
acclaimed roles but Orlando has yet to do the same. I find this
quite ironic given how much flak Keira has gotten from critics
for not going to drama school.

I think acting to a large extent comes naturally...if you have
the gift, formal training can certainly help but isn't
absolutely imperative to success and conversely you can attend
drama school and take all the acting classes you can find, but
if you don't have it you don't have it.
