Not great overall. Haven’t been able to read through them yet-
just compiling now. But seems like the critics’ issue is with
the story but say KK was good in it.

Yeah, I had a feeling when there didn't appear to be much hype
for the movie and the reviews were held so long.
I still want Keira to get a really great role with a good
director again. Like, what about a Jane Goodall biopic? That'd
be cool. Although, idk, I guess if they did one about her it'd
probably be set in the 60s when she first became famous and she
was in her twenties, so Keira may not be the right age for it
anymore.

I’ve watched it twice now. I agree with the reviews,
unfortunately.
Keira was great and should be proud of her effort.
Unfortunately the story just didn’t translate well on screen.
I’ve read the book several times. The reviewers were right in
saying the characters apart from Lo and the plot weren’t really
fleshed out. Would probably have been better as a limited series
to give time to develop the other characters.

I watched last night and it was enterning but nothing great.
Keira did a great job but they other actors were really there
doing nothing, while in the book they were all more developed.
Maybe they should have done it as a short miniseries instead of
a movie, because they cut of a lot the important stuff and it
felt really rushed. Tood bad, but I guess I kind of expected it
since there was zero promotion comapred even to Bleack Doves.

I was not surprised by the reviews. The whole vibe I got from
the trailer was cheap passable Netflix movie. It is number 1 on
Netflix though, so that is good news for Keira. Her partnership
with Netflix is seems fruitful, so they will definitely keep
casting her in stuff (hopefully more Black doves and less women
in cabins hehehe)

I mean they had a really great good of actors who did well with
what they were given which was not good. Not Keira's fault and
if people like it even better!!
