I'm glad to see she's starring in something. It seems she made
some connections at Netflix after Black Doves, probably.
Still, I just wish this streaming stuff had an actual impact
culturally. It seems like a lot of these movies just get lost in
the shuffle and Netflix just kinda dumps it on their platform of
content. It's not a big director or anything either.

Mariela, Ruth Ware is one of the most acclaimed mystery writer
in the UK and also in the US, so culturally yes it is a pretty
big deal, and this was her first book that was very successful.
Also there is a new film president at Netflix who is pretty
picky about what he approves as Netflix produced films (per NYT)
so I think it's pretty great that she gets to star in this. She
has been out of the limelight for a while so its important she
gets the most audience visibility possible and in both Black
Doves and this films she is the main character, so I say pretty
great all around!

1. Her character’s cat is named Delilah
2. This quote spoken to her character:
"Contouring," Chloe said. She swung the chair around to face me
and winked. "Honestly, it'll change your life. I could turn you
into anyone from Kim Kardashian to Natalie Portman with what
I've got in my cabin.”
