I think it bothered jean valjean blew out the candle the flame
is his life and when he blew out the flame he thought he would
die.

I Think The Candle Represented Him And When It Blew Out He
Thought It Was Over For Him

He blew out his candle, almost saying, if i blow out my candle,
or let the secret out.. I blow out my life. om going to jail.

i think he blew the candle out because he wanted to hide from
himself and his problems.

I feel like Jean ValJean blew out the candle because it could
represent what lies ahead because every candle has its last bit
of wax to hold the flame and the candle eventually dies that
could be why he blew it out because it irked him that if he
turnded himself in his life would be over so he is kinda
tihnking back and forth on what to do turn himself in or let
this other man take the fall and the candle would represent in
the end what his life has to hold.

i think he did that cause he was upset for letting the other guy
go to jail so he wanted to be in darkness.

i think he felt like he could hide from his conscience by
putting the candle out. although he couldn't he had to think
about what he was going to do.
