Hi Kap,
A workable roster is tough with decisions. Hard to carry two C
in this format. Let's look at an overview with your 5 man bench
in mind.
1B Bour backup/bench Zimmerman & Martinez
2B Pedroia, Zobrist, a key player as backup 2B and starting 3rd
OF
SS Iglesias and/or Escobar backup/bench
3B Moustakas backup/bench/1B Plouffe
C Pierzynski, final year, I like Cervelli as your #36 pick,
maybe #56?
OF Calhoun, Gomez and Zobrist
* Thompson has minor league options with 122 ab
Arcia is out of options, make the team or be cut.
Have to decide on Parra.
DH Martinez
If you use a 5 man bench and include Thompson you would need
someone with ml experience with options to send up and down.
That 5th bench guy will be a tough call.
Your bench looks like this now.
Zobrist, 3rd OF backup 2B
Zimmerman
Plouffe
Iglesias or Escobar
Thompson if you decide to keep 1 C and not draft Cervelli

With 16 teams in mind you need to look deep as far as what you
have on roster.
#1 Lester would not trade him, 16W 200+ k's is very hard to
replace, your ACE
#2 Cobb should be back this summer, always getting offers for
him, when he is placed on the DL list you will have a open spot.
#3 DeLaRosa #3 maybe not but #3 are ranked 33-48, he could fit
the back end 12 to 13 W, COL ACE will start 30+ games
#4 Martinez #4 starter for Tex 10-12 W
#5 Nolasco old but 30+ starts 10-12 W
#6 Peavy old but 25+ starts 10W

You have 5 guys with MLB experience with minor league options.
You can bring up, throw and send back down.
#1 Finnegan Cin #3 starter
#2 Bradley Air battle with Ray as #5 starter
#3 Montgomery Sea #5 starter
#4 Morgan Phil pushed back with from the rotation but worth
holding
#5 Andriese TB spot starter and on 40 man roster.

You have two SP that was bumped from the rotation and are out of
options, must be on reserve roster or cut. Although Farley said
if they get sent to minors you can demote them. Ray Air and
Bolsinger LAD. I guess that would apply to OF Arcia if he is
sent down.

As Far as bullpen here is what you have:
#1 Allen Clev from the D Gordon deal
#2 Smith Mil
#3 Motte, old but Col closer now
#4 A Wilson Det middle guy, could pick up a few W's
Out of Options
Brach Bal
Options
Shreve NYY
Beck CWS
overall not a bad bullpen.

I will take a look at the TB team today and see if we have a
match up for a trade. thanks for getting me into this league. i
will have to study up on the draft. I have 3 2nd rd picks.
#18,#19 & #27 the #47 and #61. Jesse Thom is on twitter, invite
