Crossbow Crafting Error???

Speaking with two players earlier today in game I was informed
that there may be an issue with the crossbow needing a schematic
to craft it. According to the two players who's names I cant
remember at this time, they were able to craft crossbows without
the schematics. Though I don't believe this to be true entirely
I thought it was worth it to let you know.

Just as an FYI... I am a new player as of three weeks ago and I
was unable to craft the xbow until I found the schematic so if
this is the case, it must be a new issue since then.

I tested ths in the game after I saw them saying that.
You cannot craft one without the schematic. The possibilities
for them thinking this could include:
There was a player file rollback. They remember crafting it
before I rolled back (maybe they had gone a while without
logging in and didn't notice or it occurred while they were
offline for a period) and when they logged back in they needed
to find the schematic again.
Or it was a different build.
But I tested it and you need the schematic.

Speaking of errors, I forgot to tell you, hotrod: When I joined
the server, my inventory was completely empty. ExtremeEdge told
me that I was supposed to get a claim block, as well as other
items. He also helped supply said starting items. But if you
could check on other new players when they log on, just in case
that becomes a recurring error.

Yea this happened to me when I started.... H0tr0d saw it as I
was running for my..... errr I mean while I was heading
north..... Server was kind enough to drop said items on the
ground for me.... seems weird though that it has happened to
multiple people.

I will. This occurs sometimes; I have thought it was due to an
inability to log in the first time which can create a player
creation error.
Say you get hung up and never enter the game correctly.
Maybe you get to the enter screen and end the game or it
crashes.
I am unsure why this happens and I just deleted my player
profile to log in anew. It gave me the proper starting items on
entry.
Just to be clear, you are saying you did not die at all...you
logged in and had nothing?

If I remember what happened to me I logged in, saw I was in a
burnt forest and then was bask to the menu screen.... Logged
back in. While running North Server started talking to me about
why I had no claim block.... Not sure why I was kicked from the
game to the menu.
I don't remember seeing my inventory the first time I was in,
like I said about all I had time to see was I was in the burnt
forest area.... then I was looking at the menu. By the time I
got on and server was talking to me the only things I had were
what I picked up running north :)

Yup. For some reason I think if players don't get in correctly
initially that is where they lose the starting gear.
I will make another post concerning this so people will note the
rl time it occurred so I can check the server logs to see if any
messages are shown.
