First, management please understand I appreciate all you guys do
for us players....
Ok so now that that is out of the way here comes the wine...
Can we get the VOTE HERE post updated to link to both sites. I
ask this because I sometimes vote at work, sometimes at home and
some days from my phone.....
Now to more of the meat of this post, is there a way to know
exactly how long between votes the new site tracks?? What I mean
is on the old site it would only let you vote once a day however
it appeared to be centered on MIDNIGHT EST. Any vote before
then was on day x and any vote after Midnight was on day y. The
new site does not seem to be that way.

by yesterday at the latest.

ok the link was added... but we still don't know the duration
between votes on the new site.... case in point I voted last
night around 11:30 EST PM. Here 19 some hrs later I'm still not
able to vote again.... :(

timer is not very good.
I voted like 12 hours ago, and the timers says 2 hours ago.

I'll watch closely next time. I remember it being accurate for
me. I'll watch closely next time just in case. Did you refresh
the page?
I voted at 17:21 PST, it says 24 hours, we shall see.
At 10:48 a.m. it tells me I voted 17 hours ago. If I round it to
11 a.m. that's 11 hours back to midnight, and 6 hours back to 6
p.m. for 17 hours.
If I round it back to 10:30 a.m. and round up to 17:30 p.m.
that's 17 hours.
Seems to be working so far, we will check again later at :21
after an hour to ensure precision.
16:26 says I voted 23 hours ago. I will try at 17:21 and 17:22
Success.

the new site s&^$s a$$ the timer is broken and you cant vote
every day like before you actually have to wait 24 hrs or
something it has ripped me off of voting at least 3 times now i
cant sit at my computer just waiting for the temperamental site
timer to let me vote i am sorry server i will not be voting on
that site again until it is fixed

It works for me fine, what precisely is your issue?
That you have to wait 24 hours and can only vote once daily?
Just check back at the same time every day.
How exactly are you being "ripped off"?
It says you voted 50 minutes ago.

The problem with this is not everyone can Vote at exactly the
same time they voted every day. I understand where alanine is
coming from for the code, as it is easier to code a 24 hour
timer than to coed around the day, (IE one vote per Day, well
depending where you are in the world as to which DAY it is).
Ultimately I think what is going to happen is something like
this:
Day 1 Dev votes @ 23:30 - Server Total Votes 1 Total Days 1
Day 2 Dev votes @ 23:35 - Server Total Votes 2 Total Days 2
Day 3 Dev votes @ 23:40 - Server Total Votes 3 Total Days 3
Day 4 Dev votes @ 23:45 - Server Total Votes 4 Total Days 4
Day 5 Dev votes @ 23:55 - Server Total Votes 5 Total Days 5
Day 6 Dev votes @ 23:58 - Server Total Votes 6 Total Days 6
Day 7 DOH!!!
Day 8 Dev votes @ 00:01 - Server Total Votes 7 Total Days 8
Again I'm not crying / complaining.... I'm trying to point out
the down side (not Flaw), of this type of 24 hr timer. All this
said again I understand his coding (NO I WILL NOT FIX YOU PC :P)

If anyone is upset the new site won't let them vote more than
once in 24 hours than they should relax.
If you vote as soon as possible with the new one there will be
what...a difference of 30 minutes over the span of 30 days? You
still get 1 vote point a day if you vote daily and the votes for
the monthly contest are still the old site. So I suggest that if
you want the same amount of vote points that you vote every day.
I will be watching it for irregularities and let the developer
know.
He also said previously (and I posted this) that admins will get
the ability to award/reimburse voting points.
