Hi

Hi, my nick is Ayax and i'm from Perú. I've started to play 7DTD
1 week ago (pirate version) and since 2 days ago i bought the
game and joined this server.
I started in a burning zone and walked to the dessert, found a
city that had almost nothing to loot and built a small house
(north) in the top of a mountain that is surrounded by burning
zones / dessert / snow where there's nothing to loot, i'm kinde
f*** up because i've already died 3 times due to some dogs (60
wellness). Now i'm trying to find another place to move on,
because my actual home is in a bad place.
I have a few questions, maybe you could help me:
1) The burning zone / dessert is too huge? Because I walked like
20 mins in a huge circle and al is all the same, there aren't
places to loot, the only house that i found (seemed to have
loot) it was full of zombies, killed a few but they spawned
almost instantly in the same place, it's that right? Because for
me it's impossible to get there if they will respawn like
that...
2) How do i add the server to my favorites? Because it doesn't
appear in my history and the star button doesn't do nothing.
3) Where do you advide to start a new home? Since where i'm
there's nothing to do... Can i move my claim block?
4) When i'm not playing the zombies can destroy my house?
5) Is there some kind of guild/group that i can join? Not to ask
por help, but to play with someone.
Thx in advance.
PD: Sorry for my bad english.

Biomes are generated according to elevation. So if you walk in
circles at the same elevation then yes, you will run into the
same biome type.
If you left click on the server and it is selected, the star
[s]will [/s] should add it to favorites.
Yes you can move your claim block.
Zombies can destroy your house if you're offline but they do not
spawn in the area in which you are offline unless someone else
is in the area.
Just ask to join someone here and in-game I am confident someone
will respond.
Welcome to the server, hope you enjoy yourself.

Thx for your reply Hotrod!
About this: "the only house that i found (seemed to have loot)
it was full of zombies, killed a few but they spawned almost
instantly in the same place, it's that right? Because for me
it's impossible to get there if they will respawn like that..."
The game works like that? Or i was very unlucky and if i kill
all the zombies maybe i can clear the area and get in to the
house?
Also, Is there a way to "reset" my character? Because i have low
wellness (60+-) and it's hardo to raise it... Something like
create a new char and go to my old house to pick my loot?

Ayax,
I would say you could come build with the three of us but as I
am now learning, we are in a horrible location. (We thought it
was good, but it is not.) If you have only owned this game a
week it will be a very brutal learning curve! When you first
start out it is very hard, you die a lot, and that makes it even
harder.
Some tips:
1. Dont play between 22:00 and 4:00. That is nighttime, zombies
run and will sense/hunt you from further away. They are
dangerous!
2. Pick a direction and run in that direction. Stay away from
burning biomes, they spawn dogs (scary!) and I feel they had a
higher zombie spawn rate than other biomes. (It does not help
that respawn areas drop you in burning biomes....)
3. I would advise that you look for a forest biome, and build
your base there. Plains also works.
4. Don't stop exploring until you are ready to build a base. For
temporary housing/safety as you explore, and to stay safe at
night, you can go inside a 2 or 3 story building. I suggest you
look for a safe place to stay at night when the clock says
16:00-18:00, because when you get there you need to prepare
defense. When inside and upstairs, chop off the top ladder rung,
and cut off any stairway access by TWO blocks. (Zombies can jump
one block.) Then go to the highest part of the building and you
can wait there for dawn. At dawn, you can run off and continue
exploring.
5. Make sure you collect a lot of stones, sticks, and grass.
About 50 of each. You will want them for all kinds of things as
you explore. When you can, make a bow, and make arrows. Loot
garbage and you will find iron arrowheads to make iron arrows.
6. Aim for the head. With a bow, this is not that easy, you have
to aim a little to the left.
7. If there is more than one zombie chasing you, run away. It's
best not to fight them. Survival is more important.
8. Wellness is difficult to get back up, especially if you lose
a lot when you die. I suggest that you be a nomad for a few days
and explore cities. Look for food stores, the crates sometimes
have good items. Also, you can register on the website to vote
(here:
HTML http://7daystodie-servers.com/server/494/)
it links your
steam. With your vote point, you can purchase 5 bear stew. Be
careful! This stew will attract zombies!!!! BUT, it gives you a
lot of health/water, AND it gives a lot of wellness. It will
take a little while but your wellness will go up quickly if you
vote every day and stay safe/don't die.
There's a lot of tips for newbies, and even for players like
myself, I die often on this server. Stay safe at night, always
move, vote for points for bear stew, and I highly suggest you
look at newbie guides on youtube. Hotrod also has posted some
newbie tips that I suggest you watch. There is a lot to learn,
but it's a very fun game!
Feel free to talk to me in game if you see me on, I will be
happy to answer questions you might have. You can also write
back here as well. Again, I would let you come join the three of
us, but we're in a bad location - zombie hordes walk through
quite a lot, it's not a great location for you to start out at.
Explore! There's a lot to see :-) Good luck!

Hello and Welcome
to respond to some of your questions
to move the land claim block you actually have to break it and
it will drop a new block
the house that the mobs spawned at there is normally a a group
that spawned when you were approaching that would be the first
that you see then there can be more
re spawn while you are there but there is normally a point that
they stop spawning and you will be able to loot
you cannot reset your character but each time the server starts
a new seed you are reset to level 0 with starting stats
as far as where to build i like to find a corner of 2-3 types of
biomes to build that way i have the wood from the wooded biome
the nests and pig meat from the desert and the nests and
the deer from the plains biomes or the snow is also good for
deer and pig meat as well as nests it also is nice because you
can use snow to refill your water bottles as far as what biome
to actually place the home i prefer the plains because it is
more open and i can see the zombies coming from farther away and
have clear shots at them the desert is also ok to build in but
the cactus can look like zombies and obstruct your view when
trying to shot them

The desert is great for food and water when starting out. Chop
cactus for yucca fruit and pick yucca plants for juice. Both
give stamina boost and yucca juice gives a small amount of
wellness. Both are very easy to obtain and do not require
cooking (no campfire or cooking utensils needed) though you want
to keep your mason jar(s) to make the juice. Also, the fruit
doesn't smell and attract zombies.

Thanks to all for your advices! I'm going to start to use them.
Ii'll try to find a new place to stay, the one i have it's
pretty bad, even if it's near snow/dessert (water & food) it's
too far away from other cities and is almost surrounded by
burning zones. If someone who is just starting like me (or not)
wants to play with me let me know, it would be nice.
Finally, i didn't understand this:
"you cannot reset your character but each time the server starts
a new seed you are reset to level 0 with starting stats"
This means the game resets to 0 (even player buildings,
storages, etc) or just the character?
Also, i'm voting every day (i have 2 votes), i've seen there is
a forge in the list, that's the book or the actual forge? It's
an item or it appears in the ground and can't be moved.}
Thanks again!
PD: Are there any spanish/latam players?

Some updates require a new seed, or as you know it, a new map.
In this case yes everything starts anew.
Zombies can spawn in "waves" so what you experienced is normal
for this game at this moment.
The forge you see is the actual forge, the forge books were
removed.
I can reset any character but I do not do so unless there is an
issue with the player file.
I don't recall Spanish or Latin players. I have seen French,
British, Dutch, Australian, Canadian, and American for the most
part.

Oh, that's why i haven't found any... And that forge can be
placed anywhere i want? Or it appears in front of me and can't
be moved? The same applies to cars/minibike/bookstores, etc?

Cars spawn in and cannot be moved.
The rest should drop at your feet and is place-able.
