Greetings from Avallach

Hello Everyone,
So my character's name is pronounced Aah-vah-lock (a Celtic name
from Arthurian legend and a name I have been using for many
years, way before Witcher 3 came out).
I started playing the game right when A10 came out and was
instantly hooked. I've logged over 400 hours to date, mostly in
single player along with an occasional LAN game with the kids. I
completely skipped A11 and recently got back into the game with
A12.5. I normally run my own local server but became frustrated
when my computer BSOD'd and totally jacked up my world. I
restored the last backup and still had issues so I ended up
deleting the region files and recreating them but then had to
spawn all my shit back in. By that time I decided, "screw this!,
I am going to join a real MP server", and here I am!
I played on the server yesterday afternoon for several hours and
had a blast. I spawned in at night right in the center of a
burn-zone crater, managed to dig in till morning and then I was
off on my new MP adventure! I never ran into another player but
I did find a city and lucked out with a freshly spawned Born and
Noble (side note: I used to moonlight for Barnes and Noble so I
am amused by the name lol). By the end of the night, I managed
to reach level 12 (I think?) without dying but am now infected
(due to a zed spawning in directly behind me and taking a bite
out of my shoulder) and desperately trying to find either some
antibiotics or at least some potassium nitrate so I can make
some antibiotics. I logged off at the top of a factory tower
about a days walk +/- NE of 0,0. I plan to log back in at some
point tonight so if anyone wants to throw some abs my way, I'd
be grateful. I do not have enough zCoins to call in an airdrop.
Otherwise, I'll just keep whacking nurses and searching medicine
cabinets in hopes that I'll get lucky before I turn and come
after all your brains!
As mentioned, I am kind of noobish when it comes to MP etiquette
and so forth but can learn the ropes fast (and yes MM and HR, I
did RTFM' the rules and continue to peruse the forums to get
better acclimated to the server culture but I am getting old and
may miss a few things here and there!) I did notice that it
seems like players leave some looted items behind which I
appreciated. I will endeavor to do the same for new players as I
level up and become more self sufficient. Also, I love the
modded buildings and zeds. Very cool!
When I am being a responsible human being, I work as a
Technology Specialist in Olympic sports and travel across the
country a fair amount of the time. I am also married with the
coolest woman ever to walk the face of the Earth (because she
hasn't left me after 26 years)and have two adult children, one
married and studying to be a zoo keeper and one eating my food,
messing up my house and conveniently forgetting to pay me his
monthly rent! He's a good dude though and currently working
towards becoming a paramedic so I am proud of him none-the-less.
Besides gaming, I am also a casual musician and play guitar and
bass in a classic rock band a couple times a week to try and
bring back the 80's and assuage my mid-life crisis!
I would love to coop with any PvErs so chat me up whenever and I
would also like to cross the border and present my head as a
sniper target at some point later down the road when I feel like
I may stand a chance against the mean ol' PvP crowd. I'd be
interested in joining a faction (I think I read somewhere that
you all do CTF or something?) so let me know if any of you PvPrs
will take on an apprentice and I'll come down and let you rob me
blind... ur... I mean join up with you!
Well, that was entirely TMI for a meet and greet so I'll quit
now. Hope to see you all in the apocalypse!

I'm new - ish to the server but loving it. Ah yes
antibiotics.... I have had no luck in finding any on Zeds... but
that is apparently just bad spawning loot rolls on my part ;)
I'm a PVE'er so if you venture up north to about 2,500 W and
1,500 N or there a bouts (not near the game so guessing) I'd be
more than happy to offer you some of our supply.
I usually play late evening EST, though I may be out of the game
for a few as I'm experiencing Video issues.

Thanks for the offer Dev. I'll have to see how far away I am
from your location but I may take you up on that as it's
probably better than dying even though it may take me 10 years
to get there with no stam LOL!

Very quietly. You don't want to make a lot of noise when you're
working the bookstore in the moonlight. Not only can the usual
zeds hear you but you may also receive a surprise visit by a
most insidious monster that calls itself Bitbot! :o
