Hello everyone,
Im totaly new to this online game. I played it 300 hours
offline, but wanted to share my base and buildings with other
people.
But I found out, this server is very hard for me.
Played 3 days now, and now ran out of food (only 30 berries
left).
I hope to find some food soon, because otherwise I have to start
over again.

The easy sources for me when I'm first starting out are tree
stumps, mushrooms in caves, pigs and eggs. Eggs especially are
awesome cause they give you that health boost but you have to
waste a jar for each egg, which are pretty easy to find.
That said, if you are on the server when I am, which is usually
in the evenings, and need food, just let me know, I'll dig some
up somewhere.

Thank you, like some other people on the server you are very
helpfull.
I have been looking for a cave, but couldn't find one.
I like the caves because there is food and you can use it as a
base. It is much easyer to defend than a simple rock.
I find the pigs very hard to kill, you have to hit then several
times, but he keeps on running. And already broke my legs 5
times in 3 days.
Still at 60% of my speed.
I was thinking, that maybe I should practise more offline on a
harder mode.

Try to craft a bow and aim for the animal's head while crouching
- you will do more damage. Depending on the quality of your bow
it may still take multiple hits.
The game is probably easier online if anything, because zombie
spawns are split among online players. If everything is looted
where you are searching, though, you may need to travel to find
a fresh area. Don't be afraid to spend 10-15 minutes simply
running to a new area and exploring without even stopping.

when i first start i just keep moving and always first thing
gather grass and rocks and feathers never pass anyone of these
up after about 30 grass you can stop for a while make a bow and
as soon as you get any feathers make arrows, you can also make
some pants from 12 grass.
then its keep moving always search the tree stumps good source
of canned food also find cabins go straight to the book shelves
then the cabinets and fridge, shelves for books and other 2 for
food then if you haven't alerted any zeds, look for backpacks
and medicine cabinets backpacks mainly for gear sometimes food
and other secondary things and medicine cabinets for meds
obviously
on another note if you see me online a stranger is just a
friend that i haven't met yet (unless i am in a city or in the
south then its shoot first) so if you are in need of a meal or
three just speak up i will even bring it to you and possibly a
care package of assorted things
