in forever death port?

So i logged in to find myself stuck, yes stuck, in my own spike
traps. Yes an awful way to go but hey, its alpha. Anyways, it
pointed my head up towards the sky and said it was going to port
me away from the border. My base is roughly 7500. Ok i thought.
Well here I am, i cant even read my location, my hands are
fluttering all over the place and Im stuck looking at the newly
improved sky. Cant move, stuck on zero health and im pretty
sure im not near my base.
Tried a fresh install via steam. Nothing.
Tried another server, heaven forbid.....im good apparently.
Im thinking the edge of the world porting system has me retardo
locked on deaths door forever!

It isn't a continuous death port, it was one port far out.
Top left of your map shows current location.
If your hands are "fluttering" it means your are super far from
0,0.
If you play near the world border you do so at your own risk.
This is why I placed a /sethome and /home command to enabled,
for this very reason. Please ensure you do so, in the future you
will be on your own as I have provided means which do not
involve death to resolve this.
Thank you for your support.

h0tr0d,
Can you suggest a recommended maximum distance to go from 0,0?
The OP mentioned his base is 7500. Is that considered "super
far" or did this happen to him because he traveled beyond 7500
until he triggered a border port?
Also, just out of curiosity, why is the game less stable the
further out one goes? Does it have something to do with too many
regions taxing the server or something? I've never noticed an
issue with this on my own server and have been over 10,000
beyond 0,0 but then again it was just me playing alone too.
Thanks man.

"super far" is relative. If the border is 8500 then the answer
is yes, perhaps.
if the border is 10k, is 7.5k super far? or is it 9k?
if the world is infinite is there even such a thing as "super
far"? B/c No matter how far you go you are no closer to infinity
then ever.
Too much of anything can tax the server. The server has cpu and
ram, which we use. Just like a computer except servers are
supposed to be designed to handle "more". Servers don't
necessarily have the gaming specs end-users may have, which is
why we want the burden to be primarily client-side.
Unfortunately this opens up more possibilities for cheaters.
I'll do a demonstration since people demonstrate their disbelief
remarking similar things and I will also try finding the dev's
post on the limitations of the unity engine.

This

is one thing that happens as you go further out. The further you
go, the worse it gets.

Interesting, thanks for creating the video. It would be nice if
the balance of hardware between server and client could be more
dynamic. I don't think cheating is as much an issue in a
situation where a server is password protected and managed by a
proactive Administrator.

Yes. Thanks for the demo. I didn't realize it was specific to
Unity 5. I was in A10 when I went that far out on my server.
