North POIs

Me and couple others have taken over, Working stiffs, Police
station, book store and couple of other buildings. In a small
town 936n 1420e. The past 2 days the working stiffs and book
store has been broken into and looted. These buildings have been
land claimed and upgraded iron doors.
As the rules states We are in the right and these are not to be
broke into(even if its to loot just the crates it is still
considered raiding) so if didn't know please stop.

It wasn't me - but - is this consider fair gaming? Whats
stopping me spending the next week putting doors on all the gun
stores and hardware stores and then sticking my finger up to
everyone else basically saying tough shit bro
I personally find this very unsporting.

We're living there its not like we're claiming then leaving the
area. Its with in the rules. its not like we're the first to do
it. I have come across claimed POIs and I moved on.
I'm just asking to play by the rules is all.

How can you claim something that other players rely on for
looting. it makes no sense at all and comes across pretty
selfish. One building I can understand....but 3 or 4 or however
many it is.... If i happen to pass it on my travels I will not
hesitate in looting it.

Well, I'l talk to Madman tomorrow if he doesn't see this. Not
just in regards to this game, this dilemna is solved by PVP. In
a no pvp area, should you be able to claim POIs? I was not here
when this North/south thing was put into effect so I'll talk
with him.
For now just don't get into a fight.

There is already a rule for this and it is quite clear.
" No raiding. This includes player controlled prefabs. If a
player takes over a prefab, it's theirs. This is an infinite
map, go find another. Finders keepers."
As a PvEr If I come across a POI and it has a (player) door on
it I look at it a few ways.
1. The POI (thinking real life here) is already looted and there
is nothing of value in it. I look around to see if there is an
entry. If not I leave.
2. It is someones house/home and as a PvEr I fully support the
designation of this is my home it is my right and you have no
right to it.
Now the issue does come to light that I could just run around
putting locked doors on crap.
Maybe the definition of Player Controlled Prefab needs looking
into. Maybe the rule could be modified that each (PvEr I will
not assume to dictate to the PVP side) person in the North can
only have one POI area/block. Maybe it could be stated that No
LARGE resource bldgs can be used. Only 'houses'.
For example I have a POI (its just a redstone) and I consider my
claim to be the 'block' it sits on. Across the street is Silen I
do not (except for what I know he allows me to loot) loot the
bldgs on his block. Its just a respect thing. Now everything
else in our 'area' is fair game again except for other POI/areas
that are claimed by Nik, Four seasons etc.
As (tongue in cheek here) Mayor Elect I would never knowingly
allow my constituents to break into a protected prefab no matter
how inviting. HOWEVER I would also strongly request that my
constituents NOT claim a large POI that will benefit everyone
(on the PvE side cant stop those other guys from coming over) on
the PvE side. While it is inviting it does not foster good will
on the PvE side. Again thats hard to do when you may
have....others roaming around looting.
In closing as it begun though the rule is in place already.

The only way to address this is to have a vote/rule change
request.

Controlling 1 prefab of great value - fair enough - but
controlling them all is just greed.
You wouldn't live in the for mentioned 3/4 buildings - you would
live in one of them.

LOL. I don't even believe you guys are having this discussion.
There are an UNGODLY amount of prefabs and POIs in this build
and you are nitpicking about towns being taken over? And by
three or four people?
To be honest, I discussed this with madman before we took over
our town and walled it off. There are four of us, and there are
no major stores, just a movie theater, but it is still
considered an entire base and will be defended as such. I have
been out WAAAAAY far and almost got tired of running into
prefab/towns. I am almost of the opinion there are too many, so
I find this bickering about "greedy" and "unsporting" to be
quite hilarious. Good god people, just move on to the next
biome. There are so many raidable buildings on this map this
should not even be an issue.
Quit whining, leave other peoples bases alone and go out and
EXPLORE for gods sake! I think the rule speaks for itself:
"This is an infinite map. Go find another."

What you see as whining is a perceived problem. If there is a
perceived problem there is still a problem. It is not whining.
Some people don't have the time to invest in this and when they
do have the time it might come across as frustrating that they
have to search far and wide just for a chance at an auger etc.
I thought we were supposed to be friendly here trying to help
each other out to make a fun gaming community for all?
