       Gravity

       Madman,
Do you know of a way to turn gravity back on? I am requiring to
have a portion of something i am doing for a base to collapse,
and it will cost me a TON of fuel if it wont collapse.
Just curious if you would be able to turn it on then off. Or
is it a modification to the code?
       Thanks

I sure as hell didn't turn it off. Unless they just added that
as an option on this last update I know there wasn't an option
to adjust it before. I'll look into it though.

I have looked through the settings and I could not find any
setting to turn gravity off. I looked at the "block" data and it
shows some blocks having attributes to be destroyed and some to
fall. Everything appears to be much as it has been for a long
time. I will say that "gravity" has always been very buggy in
this game. If any of you are able to find out some better
information, please let me know. I will scour the forums for any
       other information as well.

From what i understand and from what i hear from others, the
developers turned gravity off due to some of the issues
regarding broken legs, or something along that line.
That is why structures will no longer fall if you cut the legs
out, or if you dig and you have a floating pile of rock.
I was just curious if there was a quick way to turn it on then
       off again. dont know.
I will do some searching as well.

Not in the XML files which are the ones that are configurable.
Trying to adjust anything in the actual game code would result
in a spamming errors (Which create huge lag) at the least and
unplayability (Server constantly crashing) at worse. The server
game code HAS to match the client version.

Is this why we also intermittently experience being shot into
the air at times when doing something mundane like climbing up
or jumping up on a block? (I call it HCS - Human Cannonball
       Syndrome)

I believe that was there even before the patchs. So i dont know
       what that is all about.

Just checked the bug reports (made a post), and the only reply i
got was gravity has not been changed.
Perhaps the blocks just need a block update. I will try that
       tonight.

I just did a test - placed a wood frame then another on top of
it, and picked up the bottom one - the top one stayed.
       *Until I stepped on it*

       Yeah.
That seems to be the similar to my current issue. But when you
have a block of material that should collapse, it doesnt.
I was doing tests with dirt, which should easily collapse, but
it doesnt, until you step on it (has to be 1 block thick
       vertically for it to collapse)
Dont know why we are having issues like this. In the beginning
of 11 prior to the 11.2 patch, things were falling nicely.
But this is not common enough it seems. I have been reading the
Bug Forums, and i found only one other person has reported this
issue and it only happened after 11.2 patch on a Multiplayer
       server
