Holy crap that went in a different direction then it started
out...... :D
Fatts I have always extended my hand and or place out to you. I
will continue to offer that. I dont PvP/Raid so if you do I
understand the inability to join me.
However if you EVER need a place I will freely lock my doors
with a code and PM you the code. Be known though I travel a bit
a way off the beaten path usually trying to find a place we
resources in 2 or three of the four directions... :D

I appreciate the offer, maybe Im just bitter that I'm unable to

Tips for new starts that seem to work well for me and my guys
- make an axe
- Follow a road find a small cluster of houses
- kite Z's away or clear the area
- find the forge book and loot aircon units for pipes
- loot trash and cupboards for food and seeds
no forge book - keep following road till next area
once you have a forge find some where to set up - have a plan
which biome you want to be in - how close do you want to be to
GZ / other PoI's
- if you still struggle with the above hit me up on here or in
game and your more than welcome to take a few bits from us to
get started or even bunk with us
all that being said - I wont start building or log until we have
a stable version ???

I hear ya Fatts too.....When the "newest" gameplay was
introduced (the things you mention, forge, wellness, etc), I
died far more often. It does become a "chore" to adjust
sometimes.
Right when you start though, you should be at least be able to
find empty cans to collect water. They cook on a stick in a
campfire. I always go right to a stone axe followed by crossbow
and HOPE there is an animal or two for food. Those things
usually keep me going until I find "more".
Also, if you can find a snow biome, blueberry bushes yield 4
each (as of 10.3 anyway). Collect a couple of stacks of those
and you are all set for a while.
I may be taking an extended hiatus myself (from server) as I am
not devoting enough time to "group" play to be beneficial to
anyone.
I will probably just hang out in single player world when I do
play the game, until I can be a better team "player".

ya the forge book is really frustrating, though this server
still has some very nice people. Jaye last night was happy to
give me an extra forge book and I wasn't ganked this time on the
run to get it! So, things are lookin up! :)

You don't need to be part of team though SV. If you're going
alone, you can eat the rotting meat/sham sandwiches also. You
suffer from no stamina for a bit, but you allay dying.
Finding a snow biome for blueberries is an easy fix also.
I actually find starts now easier... I get cloth armor from
cotton, I can usually ind a helmet of sorts in the areas around
wastelands. Usually I find a club np, cans can become water as
you stated. I also go stone axe/crossbow whilst collecting
cotton for cloth and a sleeping bag.

Plains for the corn and Winter for the blueberries. Personally
I like running down animals and punching them with my bare fists
(they seem to get stunned when you do that, which allows you to
Chuck Norris those babies until they pass out). Then I skin
them with my teeth - swish, swish, swish, pork in the raw.
Tasty.
