Server Wipe?

Hey All,
In the case a server wipe is ideal after the next patch (i.e.
10.2) any possibility that player files be saved and migrated
(assuming the patch didn't make a changes to player files of
course)? Might be a good compromise (lose bases, but character
progress is retained). Just a thought.
As far as I know each individual player has a .tpp file which
contains information such as what recipes have been learned as
well as what items are within their inventory.

Not a bad idea but I am still trying to figure out if this
requires a wipe. I am going to do my best NOT to wipe. Let you
know what I find out soon.

I am trying to contact our host now. I did NOT wipe our server.
But it is missing nonetheless. The host was supposed to upgrade
the "Overseer Panel" to allow me to update our server much
faster in the future but it seems as the the asshole who did it
just gave us a whole new server file as well. I am doing what I
can to try to get everything back. I will post here updates as I
learn more.

Well for all old and new players alike, Madman...this"CAN" of
course "suck". But please, you do more than your share to try
and keep things running smoothly. In the end, as it has been
said quite often, this is only a game. People should not be
"losing their shit....over losing their shit" (stolen in part
from another game site that shall go nameless).
Sure you may have to start all over again...but get used to it
until the game reaches its final state. Even then, technology
breaks and we WILL lose it all and have to start over again. And
No....I am in no ways, an eternal optimist.
Just someone who has played too many games.....And....Loving
It.

Crisis averted. It was a pathing mistake and they have it
corrected. I just have to replace the custom recipes now. Whew!
