I'm Ryan but you can call me Ryu (Re-you) or
Razen (Ra-Zen) ;D. Just don't call me a raisin >:(. I recently
turned twenty-seven and have mostly been a console gamer until
about 2007 when i built my first gaming pc. I have ADD and tend
to drift off into thought from time to time. I have an issue
with my brain not properly translating speech correctly so be
patient with me if i say (What?) frequently or believe you said
something other than what you said. I used to smoke but no
longer since I switched to vaping in late 2007. I am a high
functioning Autistic (asperger's syndrome) and quite
intelligent. I was mostly an RPG console gamer until about 2009
when I got into CoD MW2.
If you've played CoD and hated that asshole type that liked
to run around the map knifing people and/or run and gunning with
a p90/pistol; Hi nice to meet you. I'm that asshole :P. Did a
bit of camping with a sniper rifle but prefer the former. And
yes; Camping is a legitimate strategy and while even I have
gotten pissed off at campers, I understand their scope of view
:P.
For about a year or so I got into a MMORPG called Eve
Online. AKA Fuck You And Die A Thousand Deaths... The Game.
And yes if you have not played it the community is that bad.
Trolls, thieves, spammers, scammers, liers, spies, and just
plain ole asshats roam this corner of gloriously torturous
gaming. I'm not saying there are not good players on EvE. You
would just be lucky to find them and not end up with a torpedo
up your keister. I was not so lucky in the start. Until a kind
person called Wenzhou found me frightfully mining in a belt he
himself was working on and initiated a conversation with me. To
be honest, the size of his ship when i first saw it, well i was
sure i was about to die... again.
I got into minecraft during version 1.2.3 vanilla while
taking a break from CoD. I didn't find out about mods until I
was looking up how to do something with redstone, about a week
after buying/playing it. since then i'v played off and on trying
different mods and mod packs. I tended to get bored fairly
quickly though. mods tended to either make it too easy or were
overly convoluted and not worth the effort put into it. I prefer
to expand the early to mid game to make it last longer but
without making it so difficult as to put a lot of stress on me
to make something early game.
Recently I had been playing a mod pack that has the style I
like however unfortunately it still has some issues. Mods having
the same items but for their own mod. So you end up with
overlapping recipes and multiple variations of the same items.
Also there are some interaction issues between mods last I
played. Currently i'm taking a break from minecraft. What
modpack you ask? Ah right well that would be Magic Farm 2 :D.
Now I have been playing 7DTD and while yes it is like
minecraft in that it is a voxel game its also vary different.
instead of bright cartoon style colors and light atmosphere it's
dark with a heavy feel. Much more realism based on survival
instead of just build stuff. It has been a vary enjoyable
experience. However there is an issue...
Aside from playing CoD i'v mostly played games by myself.
Straight to the point. I'm lonely. If you meet me in person I
appear to be a "normal" (I fucking hate that word) person. But i
have issues seeking out other people and initiating
conversations. Making friends is still a tough subject for me.
If I had to grade myself in socializing i'd have to give myself
a C. Passable but still crap at it.
I'm not a vary vocal person and it is difficult for me to
join in on conversations because it feels awkward for me. That
and I just don't have much to talk about. I tend to keep a lot
to myself. Though I can say I have improved greatly over the
last decade. Thanks to my boss at a previous job who took it
upon himself to help me. And to an online MMORPG group boss who
helped me when I had my balls kicked in on EvE Online. The
previously mentioned Wenzhou.
You might be wondering why, if i'm not vary vocal, could I
type out this long winded introduction. Well when it comes to
typing I tend to talk a bit more (If you can get me to start
typing) than if I were speaking to actual people. For me there
is less stress typing than speaking to living people and it is
easier to say what I want to say as well as how I want to say
it. I'm not big on typing on forums, mostly I tend to lurk. But
when I have something to say you will know it. ;)
Well I think that is enough of an introduction for now. I
hope we can get along and have some fun.

Welcome to the server, again. :)
After playing with you for some time tonight I must say I think
you are a perfect fit for the community and I am very happy to
have you here. I am sure everyone here will accept you as part
of our little gaming family. I look forward to seeing you in
game again. ;D

It's nice to see a handful of new faces and introductions ...
the place was getting as dusty and an old fart (and we have a
lot of those OF guys!). :D
My ex's son is 17 and high functioning Aspbergers - one of the
most detail oriented and intense gamers I know - I don't PvP
much but I'm sure you are going to be an excellent fit.
